It was what seemed to be an ordinary Saturday night in Detroit. I was attending the MC Chris show near the front of the audience. The venue was packed literally out of the door with fans of every walk of life full of energy and ready for the show. First came band Bitforce, suited-up in armor with a glowing logo. It was pretty awesome, and they were extremely cool guys. They played theme songs to video games, old school and new – same with other covers from TV shows to films. They also performed their own music, which was excellent. Living up to their name, they performed mixes of all of these things with a touch of 16-bit class. I really enjoyed their performance. Next, MC Chris slipped directly through the audience, including me, and walked up onto the stage and began preparing his set as if he was a stage-hand, it was actually really impressive that he made it from the green room, audience and managed to go unnoticed on stage while preparing. He then grabbed his mic and stood facing the audience for a little bit. The crowd at this point had realized and was cheering at full volume. Chris waited and then began with a hilarious opening dialogue about Detroit, the history and some of the artists Detroit is known for like ICP and Eminem while doing crowd work. Chris began performing with a audience that was performing back to him. While delivering chopper-speed lyrics, Chris can be seen with his eyes closed as he focuses on hitting every word and syllable, which he did and the fans did too. If Chris were to stop performing, the audience would have picked-up where he left off and you probably wouldn’t have noticed. The evening was filled with energy and excitement. 04/28/2018 https://mcchris.com/ https://www.facebook.com/pages/mc-chris/25975147278 https://twitter.com/_mcchris http://instagram.com/_mcchris http://www.youtube.com/mcvblogs https://open.spotify.com/artist/0IK6TvlarNMoBZ7KdyjZIf
